Peak Speech Therapy began providing telehealth service delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. This required unique measures to assess and treat a person’s communication needs. Many insurance plans are continuing to reimburse for therapy delivered over telehealth. Peak Speech Therapy ensures high quality services through telehealth service delivery all while considering the client's unique needs. Some guidelines we adhere to when performing telehealth:

1. We ensure you have access to the technology you need.

2. Provide step-by-step written and visual instruction for joining the virtual visit.

3. Use HIPAA-Secure Platforms.

4. Provide test session and ensure availability of extender (e.g., caregiver, family member, nurse, etc.) who is trained to help.
